No. 57 Keanu | Tobacco, Bergamot + Fresh Coffee Scented Candle
Alpha energy, quietly delivered. Don’t touch his dog.
This is not your average "man candle."
This is tobacco, coffee, and adrenaline. A slow burn that simmers like a jazz record in a wood-paneled study. A scent with backbone, restraint, and mystery—exactly how you’d expect something named after Keanu Reeves to smell.
No. 57 Keanu pays tribute to the patron saint of dogs and low-talkers, the man who made grief look elegant and vengeance look inevitable. It’s a fragrance that threads together John Wick, Neo, and the actual Keanu: all dark charm, dry wit, and unspeakable loyalty.
Fragrance Family: Amber-Woody
Notes
Top: Bergamot, Saffron
Middle: Tobacco, Pomegranate, Sweet Anise
Base: Tonka Bean, Fresh Coffee, Cedar, Vetiver
This isn’t just a candle. It’s a saga.
No. 57 Keanu is a tribute to the man who’s died on screen more than most have lived. It opens with bergamot—crisp and bitter like truth. A nod to John Wick 2, where a blood oath to an Italian overlord drags him back into the violence he tried to bury.
Then the coffee hits—rich and immediate. Just like the first scene in John Wick, brewing his morning ritual on the day of his wife’s funeral. That scent of grief, routine, and purpose—before the storm.
Sweet anise follows, quietly complex. It's here for Neo, the man caught between numbness and awakening. Anise is known to help with depression—because let’s face it, not all fights are physical.
In the center is saffron. Earthy, warm, and rare. A thread of softness pulled straight from A Walk in the Clouds, where Keanu plays the tender soldier with a broken heart and a vineyard. This is the scent’s soul—unexpected but necessary.
Finally, pomegranate closes it out. A fruit with mythology in its blood and antioxidants in its flesh. Known for healing and muscle recovery—something John Wick could use after fighting 77 men in a hallway. And a wink to Something’s Gotta Give, where Keanu plays the hot young doctor who drinks pomegranate martinis like a damn gentleman.
This is scent as story.
Violent, romantic, tired, and still standing.
Just like Wick.
Burn it when:
-
You’re writing a revenge letter you’ll never send
-
Caffeinating through emotional damage
-
Sitting quietly with someone who just gets it
-
In the mood for introspective chaos with a leather edge
-
Watching action films and pretending it’s research
Review from Fragrantica:
Keanu Reeves is my hero, so it makes sense that I would like a candle dedicated to him and his character, John Wick'sdog. No. 57 Keanu conjures wood-paneled studies, replete with leather wingback chairs and the lingering aromas of pipe ash, morning espressos, and afternoon Earl Grey teas brought there by the butler. Whiskey & Woof candles are a new find for me, and I prefer them to the ubiquitous Bath & Body Works candles that screech from fifty feet away, filling a whole house, and which I can only burn for twenty minutes before acquiring a headache. W&W No. 57 Keanu doesn't scream like thrash metal; it vibes and thrums like a brooding, introspective jazz record. Much like Keanu himself. - Beth Butterfield 10/04/24
This review makes me very proud of this scent story.
Tips:
All products are Leaping Bunny certified, phthalate free and should be trimmed between burns to 1/4” for clean burns.
Want to avoid tunneling and make the most of your candle?
First burn should last until there is a liquid pool side-to-side approximately 1-2 hours. Between burns trim the wick. Don't have a trimmer? Take a tissue or cotton ball and gently pull it away from you. This will provide a cleaner burn.
Am I telling you to burn thoughtfully? Yes.
To keep the burn clean, subsequent burns should last between 3-4 hours. Overheating can occur when a scented candle is burned for too long.
Do not burn on a shelf, even a high one. There should be nothing above the candle to prevent flames being carried by a swift exit and catching fire as well as being trapped resulting in scorch marks.
When you know the candle has burned for 3-4 hours, you also burn more consciously and get into the mindset to extinguish a flame. Do not leave lit candles unattended.
Tunneling happens when you do not leave your candle burning side-to-side. Why? Wax has a memory and it is long lasting. So if you only burn a small circle and then put out the candle, it will never become wider than the original burn and tunnel downwards.
Why 3-4 hours? Your nose also turns scent blind after that time period to alert your brain to other scents that might be a new priority.
